Lansdale Area Fundraising Society donates proceeds from St. Patrick’s Day race
Lansdale, PA – Sunday March 17th, 2013 – St. Patrick’s Day: The 3rd annual Molly’s Miler is a
charity fundraiser one-mile race beginning and ending at Molly Maguire’s Pub on Main Street. It’s
spearheaded by LAFS and North Wales Running Company. This year’s race had 200 entrants and
raised $1,200 for Manna on Main Street.
On a chilly Sunday afternoon runners of all ages and aptitude gathered to take part in this year’s one
mile sprint race conveniently and most appropriately located just outside the doors to local Irish pub
Molly Maguire’s. New for this year was the Guinness Gallop which added the challenge of
downing a pint at the start and finish of the race.
Top finishers from each age group, ranging from 9 to senior, were awarded prizes and all
participants, over 21 of course, were treated to their own pint… once breaths were regained. All in
all it was another great downtown event and further proof that there are good things happening in
